For more than 6 decades, ASIS has been one of the leading annual security industry events that serve as a springboard for the introduction of new technology and products soon to come to market. Security professionals worldwide attend ASIS for important business meetings, take in industry-leading education sessions, and socialize with countless business connections, many of whom have been colleagues for many years.

In 2017, you can expect some changes at ASIS, to be held on September 25–28 at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

ASIS brings key players from across the security spectrum. Now celebrating 63 years, ASIS 2017 offers participants 180+ education sessions, enhanced keynote addresses, and new networking events. In addition, the exhibit hall features a changed exhibitor show schedule, showcasing leading-edge technologies, products, and services offered by more than 550 companies.

“Partnerships, collaboration, security solution excellence, and renewing longstanding relationships with peers from around the globe are all hallmarks of our Society and core to the ASIS 2017 program,” said Thomas J. Langer, CPP, 2017 president, ASIS International. “This event embodies our profession’s shared mission—across practitioners and service and technology providers—to making the world a safer place to live, work, and play. It’s this dedicated community that comes back year after year that makes this event so special.”

The 4-day event, which is expected to draw over 22,000 attendees, features four major keynotes this year. President George W. Bush will open the conference on Monday, September 25. The 43rd President of the United States and author of the bestselling memoir Decision Points will share insights on his 8 years in the White House, his experiences with world leaders, the nature of public leadership and decision making, and his perspective on current domestic and international issues.

Other notable keynotes include Scott Klososky, technology visionary and founder of Future Point of View; Richard DesLauriers and Ed Davis, lead investigators into the Boston Marathon bombing; and entrepreneur, technology visionary, and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.

New this year, ASIS 2017 is doing away with its traditional welcome reception is and launching an Opening Night Celebration at Gilley’s Dallas on Sunday, September 24, from 7:00–10:00 p.m. The ASIS President’s Reception is moving to a new night this year and will take place on Wednesday, September 27 at AT&T Stadium—home of the Dallas Cowboys—from 7:00–10:00 p.m.

Programs within the exhibit hall are more dynamic than ever. ASIS changed the exhibit schedule from Monday–Wednesday to Tuesday–Thursday to provide attendees with more time to attend education sessions and get hands-on access to thousands of security products and solutions on the exhibit floor. The new schedule is Tuesday, September 26, 10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Wednesday, September 27, 10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; and Thursday, September 28, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
